Boarding Schools for Kids

Forest Heights Lodge
Located in the Rocky Mountains in Evergreen, Colorado, Forest Height Lodge's Treatment Model is designed for boys ages 5-14 who struggle to create healthy relationships in their lives and may also be challenged with psychological or learning problems.

Eagle Hill School
Eagle Hill offers a language-based, remedial program committed to educating children with learning disabilities. The curriculum is individualized, interdisciplinary, and transitional in nature. A secure, structured, nurturing environment supports and stimulates the development of the whole child. As a result, children learn to view themselves as competent individuals with a strong sense of self.
Hampshire Country School
Hampshire Country School is a small school dedicated to helping its students grow and learn through close interaction between students and faculty living together in a well-preserved rural environment. The school is particularly interested in working with students of high scholastic potential who have had difficulty thriving in larger, less personal schools.
North Country School
North Country School is a coeducational community of fourth through ninth graders in Lake Placid, New York. A school with a casual dress code, the school has a strong focus on creativity and outdoor experiences.
Oakland School is a small co-ed boarding and day school that enables bright children who benefit from a small class size and individualized program to reach their academic and personal potential. Oakland’s mission is three-fold: To provide students with the tools to learn, to instill in students the confidence required to reach their academic and personal potential, and ultimately, to enable students to successfully transition to a traditional classroom at their appropriate grade level. Students with learning differences, particularly language based learning disabilities, ADHD or organizational difficulties may be appropriate for the program.
Ojai Valley School
The only independent and traditional boarding school outside of New England, Ojai Valley School has a strong California vibe to it. Dress code is casual and students can often be found taking trips to the beach in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. Since its inception in 1911, Ojai Valley School has held progressive education and character development at the center of its philosophy and practice. Ojai Valley School offers many electives and offers experiences in base and wilderness camping throughout its program. The school has two campuses, a lower campus for students through grade eight, and an upper campus, located approximately 15 minutes away for students in grades nine through twelve.
St. Catherine's Academy
Founded in 1889, St. Catherine’s Academy is a private, Catholic day and boarding school with a military tradition for boys in transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. Saint Thomas Choir School
The Choir School was founded in 1919 to house, nurture, and educate the boys who sing in the choir of Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue in New York City. Our students are engaging, bright, energetic boys who embrace life with a sense of hope, skill, and confidence.
